DOs & DON'Ts

our recommendations on how to maintain your Birdigo in order to prolong it's lifespan

DO

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth when Birdigo gets dirty.

  • Use Birdigo only on flat surfaces. This is to prevent the unit from 'walking' when switched on.

  • Make sure that tall glasses and dinnerware are out of swinging arm's way. We advise that only plates and bowls be placed under the arm.

DON'T

  • Flip arm upwards in the opposite direction. Doing this will not ensure protection of your food.

  • Leave unit switched on for an extended periods of time. We recommend a maximum of 2h.

  • Use Birdigo other than for its intended use. Birdigo is a bird proofing product solely for tables. We do not recommend using it for tray return stations or bin areas.

  • Attempt to raise or lower the angle of the swinging arm. This will affect the effectiveness of deterring birds.

How do I clean and maintain Birdigo?

Birdigo is easy to clean. You can use a clean, damp cloth to wipe Birdigo down after each use. Do not put it under running water or apply soap to the device.

How long does the Birdigo’s motor last?

While we strive to use quality parts to ensure our products have a long life, nothing can last forever. Our testing has shown a life expectancy well in excess of 1000 hours. We haven’t killed a motor yet!

How many Birdigos do I need?

This would depend on the amount of food you need to protect.  If it fits under the wing it will be fine (30cm radius from the stand).  If it does not fit within this area, we recommend purchasing an additional unit to maximise protection.

How do I add/change batteries?

The batteries can be replaced by accessing the battery compartment underneath the base of Birdigo. Simply unscrew the battery cover and replace 2 C-sized batteries with the positive (+ve) side facing upwards.
